Harvey moved with his parents to Detroit, Michigan in 1912. Attended StJohn's Military Academy at Delafield, Wisconsin. He graduated as Cadetofficer Captain of Company D. The depression and bank failures wreakedhavoc with the family fortunes in Detroit, so further college educationwent by the wayside and Harvey worked for his father in the butter andegg business until World War II. He then joined Vickers, Inc., producinghydraulic machinery for navy aircraft and aircraft carriers. In, 1944,Harvey and Nancy moved to Chicago, Ill. where he learned the "springbusiness" as a successful salesman. In 1950 he founded Harvey Springand Manufacturing Company, manufactures of electro mechanical springsfor military fuses, timing divices, commercial breaker springs used inthe astronaut and guided missile programs, and the company receivedgovernment awards for performance.
Harvey served on the Board of Spring Manufacturers Institute and in 1966was president of the Chicago Association of Spring Manufactures. In1970, he moved the company to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and commuted fromhis home in Long Grove, Illinois. He belonged to Inverness Golf Club andenjoyed many a game. He retired to Sarasota, Florida, sold his companyto his employees in 1983. The name changed to Badger Precision SpringCompany.

Bobby born at home in Tulsa----name was supposed to be Robert Shields Siegfried but was changed to Robert McBride Siegfried. Apparently, there was a fight over the middle name. Not sure if he was born with theShields name or not. Shields on baptismal certificate. This information was given to me by Tom Conwell,cousin to Bobby Siegfried, April 1999. On the actual birth certificate,he is listed as Robert Siegfried. Legal name change 9/4/1942 to RMS from RSS. Mother wanted to change in 1921, and since then used RMS in school etc.died of conjestive heart failure at home with his wife, Doris at his side.

about 4/24/04 found collapsed in home by MHS. In hospital for 3 wks from COPD...pulmonary problems from smoking before being taken home on 5/12/04. Died at home 10/28/04 in am, 32nd and Utica.

HUNTERBy Staff Reports Published: 10/23/2004 4:36 AM HUNTER -- Genevieve "Jean" Lindsay Perkins, was born February 6, 1917 in Robinson, IL to John T. and Edith (Holmes) Lindsay. She passed away Friday, October 22, 2004 at the age of 87. Jean attended Central High School in Tulsa and the University of Missouri, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. There, she met David "Dave" Moore Perkins and they were married October 14, 1938. They had 3 children and were married until his death in 1980. In 1985 she married C. Scott Hunter to whom she was married until his death in 1994. She was an active life long Tulsan who enjoyed the friendship of many people. Jean was also preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Lindsay Pinkerton Webb and her brothers, Forrest Lindsay and Theodore "Ted" Lindsay. She is survived by her children, Lindsay Perkins and his wife, Diane, Stephen Perkins, Ann Perkins Massey and her husband, Michael; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held 12 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2004 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Ninde Funeral Directors, Garden Chapel, 742-5556.
