Johannes (Col. John) Siegfried
Johannes (Col. John), 1745-1793, married in 1769 to his cousin, MarieCatherine Levan ( 7 -1 828). He purchased land on the east bank of theLehigh River in Allen Township, Northampton Co., Pa. from David Chambersin 1770.
As mentioned before, no deed for Col. John's land could be found. Thereis, however, mention of his purchase in a deed wtioro he transferred42.25 perches for school use (Easton, Deed book F, vol.4, p.184), N....being pad of frfty acres of land Ywhich David Chambwe and Sarah his wffeby their indenture bowing date the tenth day of March 1770 for theconsideration ftrain mentioned did grant and confirm vath other landsunto the said John Sie&ed....." (see page 17). On this same date, IO Mar1770, David Chambers conveyed a one acre plot in trust to JosephShomiter, Henry Funk, Peter Fried and Jacob Baer for "the sole use of theManonist Congregation of AJIsn and Whitehall TovxishiW
Mary Catherine was Abraham Levan sister. So. she was cousin to Col. John.

Joseph purchased and settled on a tract of land near Bath, Northampton,Co., PA. There is in LDS another Joseph SIFRID listed who is married to a Lobach, but is thought to be a different Joseph because of dates, times and locations.

George married Sarah Wilgus on August 7, 1794
Sarah was born May 1755 and died June 5, 1828The addition of George as son of Jacob is based on family that states that Jacob of Northampton Co. is the father of George. Did Jacob's wife give birth to George, then die? WasGeorge born out of wedlock?
May have married young, moved to Northampton County and had George.Jacob served as a Lietenant in the 6th battalion, Berks Co., Pa.Militia. They lived and died in Schuylkill Co. (formed 1811)
