William Forsyth II of Scotland

James Forsyth was the son of William Forsyth II of Scotland, and also William II was the father of John and Matthew Forsyth. After Williams death in Scotland, John inheirited his fathers estates and titles, and after Johns death his brother Matthew inherited Johns estates and titles. During the religious wars Matthew was outlawed and in 1680 fled to Ireland and, prior to Matthews arrival in Ireland, his brother James fled to America and settled in Jamestown Va. The Forsyth family lineage goes back to Scandinavian mythology to Odin and his wife Trigga. The only child of Odin and Trigga was a son.. Balder and his descendants were recorded as "Forsyth". From the clan of Forsyth came Ethrod, brother of Eugenius, also known as the King of Scots. Eugenius' son, married Rocha, the daughter of Roderic Lord of Denmark. Fergus assisted Alaric the Goth at the conquering of Rome in 410AD and afterwards Fergus became King of Scotland.
Tracing of the family shows emigration thru France and departure in 1246AD and how Osbert Forsyth established himself in Annadale, Peebles county, Scotland. James Forsyth , previously referred to, is a direct descendant of Osbert Forsyth.
