LILLIAN ROSE BOWERS KARLESKINT
GROVE - Lillian Rose Bowers Karleskint, age 79, died November 14, 2002 of natural causes.
She grew up in Claremore, Okla., and lived in both Kansas and California before she retired in
1976 to Grove.
She is predeceased by her husband, Charles, and her brothers, Joe Bowers and Robert
Anderson, both of Grove. Lillian is survived by her siblings and their spouses: John Bowers of
Tulsa, Frank and Tracia Bowers of Claremore, her sister, Sammy Munsey of Vernon, Texas, and
her sister-in-law, Julia Bowers. She is also survived by her children, Christopher and Lou
Karleskint of Grove, Douglas and Betty Karleskint, and Rob and Debra Karleskint Hertert, both of
Portland, Ore.; and five grandchildren, Chase and Nick Karleskint, and Cary, Marcus and Robin
Rose Hertert. Lillian will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and others who
remember her fondly as "Momma K."
Lillian's hobbies included landscape painting, singing, music, crafts and watching the seals. She
was a beloved sister, mother, grandmom and aunt.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, at Worley's Funeral Home, 711 South
Main Street, Grove. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. and the service will be at 11 a.m. The family
will hold a private interment in Fort Scott, Kan., where Lillian will be buried beside her
husband. Charitable donations to Good Shepherd Hospice are requested in lieu of flowers.
