Nell White was a daughter of George Henry White (GHW) and Leah Causer White. GHW and my great-grandmother, Sarah White Turner Bradley Kerr, were brother and sister. They and their parents, and another sister, emigrated to Pennsylvania from England in 1870. I learned only recently that GHW and my great-great-grandparents are interred at Grove Hill Cemetery in Oil City.
GHW was particularly successful in industry, and according to my research, fathered ten children. I am attaching an informative article from Souvenir of The Oil City Derrick (newspaper), illustrating the City of Oil City in the year 1896, reprinted by Margaret Anne Mong in October 1999. It is a Zip file of two JPEG images, including a picture of GHW's residence. His 1923 obituary mentions two daughters who will be traveling to PA for the funeral from their homes in New Mexico; Nell White Reidy (about whom you know), and Mabel E. White Hubbell. Mabel's husband, Frank A. Hubbell, Jr., apparently owned a sheep ranch in Bernalillo County. I have determined that both the Reidy and the Hubbell families are buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque.
