William, was 21 when he lost his grandparents. It must have been particularly difficult for him, for they has taken him into their home six years earlier at the start of the Great Depression when his own parents could no longer support their three children. I know they influenced him and he loved them.William Emil Chapin, 75 . . . Owner Of Quincy Mortgage And Real Estate, Tavares

Yes, this was my Uncle Norman --- he was shot down during a mission over the Japanese Islands. My Grandpa Jesse never believed he really died --- he was quite a sportsman and Gramps believed that his plane was shot down but he must have swam to the Island and was just a prisoner. My Mom told me Gramps would always go to the door and expect it to be Norman --- even after the war. My Dad and he were very close and my Dad paid for his college. Uncle Norman was my Hero growing up,and still have his picture in my living room!
