Sidney was born in NY State. When he was 5, his family landed at the mouth of 4 Mile Creek in Clermont Co. (1819). Remaining there one year, they removed to Brown Co. where they lived 16 years. Sidney then married and in 1840 moved with his family to Buford, Highland Co., OH where he resided til death. By trade Mr. Ogden is a blacksmith, and an excellent workman. He has aquired a local reputation , also, as an inventor. He has been a trustee of the township one term, and a justice of the peace 24 years. From the History of Ross and Highland Counties, OHIO
