ROONEY -- Peter Joseph, 41, died Saturday, May 8, 2004. He was General Office Manager of Specialty Insurance Managers of Oklahoma, Inc. He was born April 10, 1963, in Tulsa, OK to John Edward Rooney and the late Marjorie Mary Kavanagh Rooney. He married Catherine Wallace of Downers Grove, IL at St. Giles Church in Oak Park, IL. Surviving are his wife, Cathy; son, Brian Patrick and daughters, Anne Marie and Nancy Fahey, all of Tulsa; father, John E. Rooney; stepmother, Angela Casey Rooney; sisters, Kathleen M. Rooney Hastings and Margie K. Rooney Huffman; brothers, John E. Rooney, Jr., Reverend Michael R.K. Rooney and Mark S. Rooney, all of Tulsa; stepsister, M. Susan Marshall, Alexandria, VA; aunt, Eileen Rooney Hewgley, Tulsa; uncle, Richard C. Kavanagh, Phoenix, AZ; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother on January 6, 1998; brother, Joseph in 1960 and sister, Anne R. Rooney Pareto on October 10, 1999. He attended Monte Cassino Grade School, Cascia Hall Junior High School and graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in 1982. He further graduated from St. Gregory's College, Shawnee, OK in 1984 and Regis University, Denver, CO in 1986. He was a parishioner of Christ the King Church. He was a member of Sequoyah Club, Park Hill, OK and was a music enthusiast, being an accomplished drummer with his musical group "Quill". He enjoyed golf and bicycle riding, but most of all just being with his family. Rosary 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2004, Marian Chapel, Monte Cassino School. Funeral Mass 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2004, Christ the King Church with Reverend Michael Rooney as Celebrant. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa. The family would appreciate Memorial Masses. The Fitzgerald Funeral Service, 585-1151.

County courthouse had a fire and what was there was lost. 1840 census only
had head of house hold. His family moved out
of KY (as far as we know)when he was young. Salt Lake county courthouse
had
fire and lost marriage records that often have parents names.
He was a spy for one side of the Civil War and all the other things that
we
know of him in the Civil War we can't find anyone who fits that
description
in the national archives. He has a sister names Melinda Rose who married a
Hummel possibly Emil or Amil can't find anything on them.
He had a brother names John Lafayette and there is so many John Walkers
that I gave up. His father name is suppose to be Norvell but all the
Norvell Walkers we have found would be too young to be his father. The
only
thing I haven't done is written to the Methodist or the Baptist churches
in
that area to see if they have any record of his birth. He always claimed
to
be related to William Walker that died in Honduras and was a military
filibuster adventurer. William's mother maiden name was Norvell.????
