Picketts Mills - Ralls county - This grist mill in the NE corner of
Jasper T, was abandoned by 1933 and was named for the
owner, Alfred Pickett, who was killed in a RR accident in
1878. He was a Kentuckian, who came to Missouri in 1828,
when he was eight years old. This was earlier known as Saint
Vrains Mills, for a former owner, and later Fikes Lick for
Abraham Fike, another owner. AKA Saint Vrains Mills;

Warren Clark was born and raised in and around McCausland, Iowa where he spent his youth working as a farm labor. During the Great Depression he worked construction and helped build Lock and Dam #13 across the Mississippi river just north of Clinton (Lyon) Iowa. In the 1940's he went to work for the Clinton Park Board. He moved with his family to Eagle Point Park were he was given the position as Caretaker and Gardener. In the winter and early spring he maintained the greenhouse and started the flowers from seed that were to be planted in Eagle Point Park and the many other parks located throughout Clinton.
Warren Clark always believed his birth date was 16 June 1900, A check of the Scott County, Iowa Census on file in the National Archives reveal that a Warren Clark was born in June of 1898.

Vernie (Mike) served in WWI as a Pvt. in Iowa CO F 307 Infantry. during his tour he was a victim of gas warfare by the Germans and was disabled for the rest of his life. As a result of his condition, Mike held many jobs during his life (farm hand,factory worker and traveled several years with a carnival to mention a few), but none for very long.
Edward Dwire was buried beside Dorothy Clark, he has no head stone.
George Colschen's ashes were spread over Wyoming Mountains by his sons.
